THE CONTEXT GAP
A bank transaction preserves the merchant, date and total. The receipt holds the items, purpose, participants and allocation — but that detail is temporary, fragmented and usually lost.
Shared expenses add manual distribution, rounding and follow-up. Restaurant receipts are one familiar example, but the same context gap exists across travel, households and everyday purchases.
The missing layer is structured, connected and reusable item-level financial context.

Valrum calculates the allocation, supports external payment handoff and allows the confirmed Expense to be saved to Personal Workspace.

PAYMENT BOUNDARY Valrum does not process, hold or transfer money. Payment completion remains external.
PLANNED MVP
The first version connects a high-utility capture experience with a persistent Personal Workspace while keeping payment completion outside Valrum. The scope is intentionally narrow enough to test whether users prefer AI-assisted capture, whether organizers save confirmed expenses, and whether persistent history creates repeat use and willingness to pay.
NOT MVP 1.0 Voice or Text Capture, Shared, Business or Enterprise Workspaces, direct payment processing, and permanent receipt-image storage by default.
